Our Community Welcome Packs below is are for public housing tenants in the City of Sydney LGA and contain valuable information about the surrounding area, local services, organisations, and tips for adjusting to your new home and neighourhood.
Counterpoint Community Services designed the welcome packs in consultation with tenants, agencies and local group. this is part of our work to improve information distribution under Action 3.2 of the Waterloo Action Plan.
Printed versions are available for distribution by DCJ and HOMES NSW to new tenants but the electronic version will be useful also to existing tenants in the City of Sydney LGA and can be downloaded below.

Emergency Preparedness Handbook
Knowing what emergencies could impact you, planning what you will do, getting your home ready, being aware of when something might happen, and looking out for each other are all important things to consider before an emergency happens. Improving community safety is covered in section one of the Waterloo Action plan.
The Emergency Preparedness Handbook for people living in social housing is your five step guide to becoming ‘emergency prepared’. Use this handbook to learn more about how you can be better prepared today. It was developed by a number of government and non-government organisations under a project run by Inner Sydney Voice and subsequently followed up by the City of Sydney.
